Caregiving often means putting everyone else first, but your well being is a vital part of your family’s health story. This month, we’re honoring the generations of women who have carried us forward and acknowledging that taking care of yourself is just as important.

This Women’s History Month, we celebrate the caregivers, the multitaskers, and the late night problem solvers while we encourage you to make space for your own health along the way. Learn some simple strategies in our blog:

Adventist Health is a faith-based, nonprofit, integrated health system serving more than 90 communities on the West Coast and Hawaii with over 400 sites of care, including 26 acute care facilities.

Care begins with connection. By building meaningful relationships with patients and one another, our providers deliver compassionate care that strengthens communities and transforms lives.

As we get ready to celebrate National Doctors’ Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to our doctors and providers for their tireless efforts to inspire health, wholeness and hope. They don’t just add years to our lives — they help us experience our best health so we can embrace what we were made for.

Would you like to send your thanks to an Adventist Health provider who has impacted your life for the better? Share a note using this form, and we’ll pass it on to them for National Doctors’ Day, celebrated each year on March 30. AdventistHealth.org/DoctorsDay

“Colorectal cancer is common and preventable,” says James H. Tabibian, MD, PhD, FACP, Interventional Gastroenterology. “Most adults at average risk should begin screening at age 45, but those with higher risk factors, such as inflammatory bowel disease, family history, or certain genetic syndromes, may need to start earlier.”

Colonoscopy is the gold standard, but screening should be personalized.
Timely screening saves lives. Visit AdventistHealth.org/ColonScreening and talk with a healthcare professional to learn more about what’s right for you.

Access to care looks different in every community — and we’re working to ensure federal leaders understand what that means in rural Central California.

This week, we welcomed United States Department of Health and Human Services Regional Director of the West, Victoria Seaman, to Adventist Health Selma. She met with members of our leadership team as well as Adventist Health President and CEO Kerry L. Heinrich and Public Affairs and Community Impact Executive Julia Drefke.

We shared how Adventist Health is expanding access to care in rural communities by strengthening our workforce and investing in services closer to home, while addressing challenges faced by Medicare and Medicaid patients across the region.

These conversations help bring greater awareness to the needs of rural communities and reinforce our commitment to providing whole-person care, close to home.

Our headquarters were alive with the sound of [choral] music!

The Pine Hills Adventist Academy Choralaires joined Adventist Health employees in Roseville, California on Wednesday.

“We were so blessed by these students and the life and energy they brought to our space,” said Kristine Johnson, Adventist Health Director for Mission Formation Strategy.

Each week, our interMission program welcomes new speakers and musical guests to share mission-focused stories and inspiration. Under the direction of Music and Performing Arts Director Terri Taaffe, the Choralaires, were just the dose of inspiration needed!

Johnson added, “We gather together weekly at Adventist Health to reconnect to one another and to our shared mission of living God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope.”
