The healthcare team at Mills Pond strives to restore each individual to an optimum level of function, while stressing independence and adaptability throughout his or her stay. The primary goal of this program is to educate both the patient and family through the recovery and rehabilitation process while you are at Mills Pond. We believe it is the right of the patient and family to understand the different facets of your care. The Mills Pond team understands that individual patients have individual needs; therefore your care will be conveyed in a manner that is appropriate for each patient’s language, culture, emotional barriers, sensory impairment and religious needs. Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nurse’s Aides are scheduled 24 hours a day providing nursing care for all of our residents. Our experienced nursing staff coordinates the individual care plans for our residents and focus on enabling patients to acquire or relearn skills they need to return home as quickly and independently as possible. At Mills Pond, we are committed to promoting wellness and optimum quality of life for those under our care. The Rehabilitation Department at Mills Pond Nursing and Rehabilitation Center provides cutting-edge Physical, Occupational and Speech/Language Therapy as well as Restorative Nursing programs to patients upon medical approval by their physicians. Programs offered include intensive short-term rehabilitation programs available at least 6 days per week, long-term restorative and maintenance services, nursing group exercises and self-reliant feeding training and ambulation programs.
