Your baby isn’t just floating in the womb.

👶 As pregnancy progresses, babies swallow amniotic fluid regularly, especially in the second and third trimesters.

• develop the digestive system
• practice swallowing and breathing movements
• regulate the amount of amniotic fluid

💡 By late pregnancy, babies may swallow several hundred milliliters of fluid per day.
