We had the privilege of presenting before the Michigan House Oversight Subcommittee on Public Health and Food Security. The subcommittee, chaired by Matthew Bierlein - State Representative (R, District 97), focused its discussion on the critical issue of the shortage of psychiatric beds in Michigan. Steve Vernon, CEO of Cedar Creek Hospital of Michigan, and Jaime White, CEO of Havenwyck Hospital, highlighted ongoing efforts to support the community through strategic investments in capacity expansion. They emphasized the importance of ensuring that the appropriate number of beds is available to meet community needs in a timely manner.
