The White Mountain Communities Special Healthcare District has an opening for a Board Member to represent District 1 of St. Johns, Arizona. District 1 is the area north of Cleveland Street, Highway 180.
The mission of the Health Care District is the financial protection of our rural Emergency Medical Providers in Southern Apache County. The Board consists of five (5) elected Board Members as provided for in the Arizona Revised Statutes, Title 48, Chapter 31. You can access the ARS on the internet for a complete description of responsibilities. This position is unpaid by appointment, to the end of the term expiring in November, 2026. Meetings are conducted approximately 6 times per year and can be remotely attended over Zoom when needed.
Should you have interest in serving on the Board, you must be a property owner residing in District 1. An interest or past experience in medical or emergency services would be helpful but not mandatory. Please send a letter of interest to:
