Did you know that Labyrinths can get LONELY?!
I decided to visit this one in Lansing at 420 Moores River Drive. She was built in 2008 using large stones. I’m not sure how many visitors she gets, but I know she appreciated the visit.
As everything on a Labyrinth walk is a metaphor, I thought I would share the insight I received today:
The path of this Labyrinth is overgrown in spots (as you will see in the photos). When I looked at it before starting the walk, I was worried I wouldn’t make to the center because I wasn’t sure where the center was.
Regardless, I took a deep breath and began walking on the stones. There were some beautiful feathers along the path, reminding me that it I’d important to remain soft when receiving whatever shows up on the path.
At times, I could see that there were stones completely covered by plant growth. And yet, I always felt certain about my next step. This represented, for me, the idea that even if things seem uncertain in life, just take the next step that seems right.
Sure enough, I made it to the center and back out again!
This is a beautiful location for a labyrinth, so if you’re near REO Town in Lansing, make some time to say hello to the Moores Park Labyrinth!
