Today marks the first day for our SAFER firefighters bringing staffing on each shift to 4. These additions will make our community safer by allowing the first arriving company to accomplish critical life saving tasks in a shorter amount of time. It will also provide additional safety for our firefighters when they are engaged in high risk operations. We are extremely grateful to have been awarded a FEMA grant to help make this possible.

Gregory Charest has been on the SJFD call department for 3 years with previous EMT experience. Matthew Montgomery comes to us having served on the Danville Fire Department, and he is also a US Army veteran. We are excited to welcome them to the SJFD family. Town of St. Johnsbury
