Anxiety has a way of making the future feel more real than the present.
You're not actually in danger, but your body doesn't know that. The tight chest, the racing thoughts, the constant low-level dread β it's exhausting to live in that state, especially when you can't always explain it to the people around you.
A lot of what we work on in therapy is helping your nervous system learn that it's okay to settle. Not through suppressing what you feel, but by understanding it well enough that it stops running the show.
If anxiety has been getting in the way of your relationships, your sleep, or just enjoying your day-to-day life β that's worth addressing. You don't have to be in crisis to reach out.
