Board Member Opportunity – Help Build a Children’s Museum
We are building the Children’s Museum of the Northeast Kingdom (CMNEK) in Vermont and are entering a critical phase of growth.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a museum that will serve children and families across the Northeast Kingdom—bringing together education, creativity, local culture, and community connection.
As we move from a volunteer-led startup into a sustainable, professionally run organization, we are seeking to add a few strategic members to our Board of Directors.
⸻
We are specifically looking for individuals with experience in:
• Fundraising and development
• Finance or accounting
• Nonprofit leadership or organizational growth
• Strategic planning and scaling
⸻
What we are building:
• A dynamic children’s museum rooted in the culture and landscape of the Northeast Kingdom
• A long-term vision that includes a permanent, purpose-built museum space
• A sustainable model with strong leadership, programming, and community partnerships.
⸻
Why this role matters:
We are at a pivotal point where the decisions we make now will shape the future of the organization. We are looking for individuals who can help guide this next phase with insight, experience, and a forward-thinking mindset.
⸻
Commitment:
• Monthly board meetings (mix of in-person and virtual)
• Strategic guidance and governance (not day-to-day operations)
• Willingness to engage in thoughtful planning and long-term visioning
⸻
If you are interested—or know someone who may be a good fit—I would love to connect and share more.
Please reach out to me directly or message me here on LinkedIn.
