🌿 Think smoking ma*****na once a week is harmless?

Our latest blog breaks down what really happens with weekly use. Even once a week can increase tolerance, affect motivation, disrupt sleep, and heighten anxiety in some people. It can also build a pattern that slowly becomes more frequent without noticing. For those with stress, depression, or addiction history, weekly use can complicate recovery more than expected.

DeNovo Recovery had the honor of attending the Joint Veterans Committee event at the Fire Fighter’s Memorial, SJFD Fire Station #9, remembering those tragically lost on 9/11—24 years ago.

Buchanan County Sheriff Bill Puett, St. Joseph Police Chief Paul Luster, and St. Joseph Fire Chief Ivan Klippenstein each gave powerful and heartfelt words. Their speeches not only honored the fallen first responders of 9/11 but also reminded us how truly blessed we are as a community to have such dedicated leaders. Denovo Recovery is grateful for Sheriff Puett, Chief Luster, and Chief Klippenstein—the way they spoke was impactful, heartfelt, and a true reminder of the strength and unity within our city.

Pastor Jared Fiske of Central Assembly of God, Saint Joseph, MO opened and closed the ceremony in prayer. His prayer was moving, impactful, and we hope it sparks a deeper spiritual awakening in St. Joseph.

It was a time of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude. A time to honor the brave first responders and families forever impacted by 9/11, while also pausing to recognize the courage and commitment of the men and women who keep us safe today.

We are truly blessed and grateful for our St. Joseph Police Officers, Fire Fighters & EMS responders. Thank you for your service 🙏❤️🇺🇸
