These boxes are headed to two different countries through fellow medical nonprofits connected through TechMD. 📦🌍 We’re grateful to be part of a network of like-minded organizations that share resources well and help one another serve more effectively. 🤝 When we have extra medical supplies, or donated items we’re unable to use in our own programs, we’re glad to pass them along so they can help meet needs elsewhere. 💙

Our eye surgery team departs for Ecuador tomorrow. A last-minute staffing change left us with extra luggage and too few team members. A volunteer has stepped up to travel and carry the equipment, but the $1,500 cost is a heavy burden.

There’s something special about this stage — the quiet preparation before the impact begins. Every bag packed represents patients who will soon receive sight-restoring care, many of whom have waited years for treatment.

This spring in Jamaica, our team witnessed a moment none of us will forget.

A young woman in her twenties — homeless, separated from her children, and facing total blindness — arrived with one eye severely damaged and the other clouded by a dense cataract. Given the complexity, the team hoped they might restore even a small amount of sight.

The next day, she opened her eye and could see 20/40.

From total blindness… to reading the eye chart.

One team member described it simply as “a God moment.”

Moments like this remind us why the work matters.

Today we celebrate the birth of Jesus — the Light of the world.

At Christmas, we rejoice in the gift of hope, love, and redemption that entered the world through Him.

As a ministry grounded in faith, we are grateful to serve in His name — restoring sight and caring for people with dignity and compassion.
