Dr. Gupta recently had the privilege of speaking at the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with members of the community and discuss the importance of leg health, circulation, and staying active.

Programs like LIVESTRONG at the YMCA play an incredible role in helping individuals regain strength, confidence, and quality of life. Dr. Gupta enjoyed meeting the participants, answering questions, and sharing insights on maintaining healthy legs and preventing vein-related issues such as blood clots.

Thank you to the YMCA team and the LIVESTRONG participants for the warm welcome and for the meaningful work you do in our community.

Leg swelling (edema) is often one of the earliest signs of poor vein function. Diseased veins increase pressure inside the veins, forcing fluid to leak out into the surrounding tissues causing swelling while adding stress on the lymphatic system, the body’s backup drainage pathway.
