Stuber Health Center

Stuber Health Center Stuber Health Center is a non-profit organization providing health care to the underserved in St Joseph, MO and Buchanan County. Joseph, Buchanan Co, MO area.

The Friends of the Free Clinic is a group which helps raise funding and awareness for the clinic. In 1913, Daniel Morton, MD came to the St. As a physician, he was concerned about the medical treatment of the poor. Through many efforts Dr. Morton worked to develop Missouri State Statute, RSMO 205.770, that allowed county governments to create a 'Social Welfare Board of (name of county)'. The idea was to form an alliance between city and county governments to support free medical care to those less fortunate in the community. Additionally, local doctors, hospitals, and nurses would volunteer their time at the clinic to administer healthcare to the patients of the clinic. The Social Welfare Board continues Dr. Morton's vision and passion to provide high-quality healthcare to the residents of the City of St. Joseph and Buchanan County, MO. We have many partners who help us in our efforts. We are grateful for the continued support we receive in our community!

🌟 Exciting News at Stuber Health Center! 🌟

We are thrilled to introduce our new Nurse Practitioner, Salvador Hernandez! Sal is a certified family nurse practitioner with a BA in Psychology, and he brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to our team.

When he's not at work, Sal loves spending time with his wife and their two young children. As an active family, they enjoy exploring the beautiful parks in the Liberty and Kansas City area. Whether it's hiking, going for walks or runs with their dogs, or enjoying movie nights with family and friends, Sal believes in making the most of life. Music is a passion for him too—he's always on the lookout for new artists and loves attending concerts.

Sal chose to join us at Stuber Health Center because he shares our commitment to serving underserved and uninsured populations. He believes everyone deserves a chance at a healthier life, and we couldn't be happier to have him on board!

Please join us in welcoming Sal to the Stuber family! 🎉
