That’s why we’re proud to be a partner of Hope Grows — a community collaboration with a mission to provide a full continuum of care for individuals and families navigating a cancer diagnosis or survivorship in Southwest Michigan.

From diagnosis through recovery and beyond, Hope Grows surrounds patients with the services, resources, and comradery they need through supporting patient assistance through Corewell Health South Cancer Services and the LIVESTRONG program at the YMCA of Greater Michiana.

We’re proud to support growth and innovation across our teams.

With support from Corewell Health Foundation Southwest Michigan’s department grants, Katie Schmidt, Senior Residency Program Coordinator, attended the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Conference in San Diego alongside Tonya Parish, Kim Wright, and Jasmine Bailey.

The conference brought together nearly 5,000 graduate medical education leaders around the theme Meaning in Medicine, highlighting purpose, connection, and excellence in academic medicine.

“Attending the conference was a great experience. I was able to connect with others in similar roles from across the country and picked up some really helpful tools and ideas that I can use in my role here at Corewell Health.”

Through our partnership with the Krasl Art Center the Art Angels program brought creative expression and emotional relief to 1,059 patients across four Corewell Health locations in just six months. We were honored to host a donor luncheon at the Corewell Health Niles Hospital last week, bringing together community members who help make local care possible.

During the event, Foundation President Melinda Gruber and Corewell Health South President Natalie Baggio shared strategic updates on our community’s evolving needs and the overarching goals and vision for health care in Niles. Following the luncheon, guests enjoyed behind-the-scenes tours of key hospital areas—including the Birth Center, Surgery, Emergency, the Heart Center, and the ICU—offering a firsthand look at how generosity and partnership translate into exceptional care close to home.
