Libby from PRC joined us this week for our Life Skills class, and our ladies were reminded of something powerful: even when life feels heavy, gratitude and attitude can change the way you see the world.

Through gentle guidance, Libby led conversations about shifting mindsets, choosing to see the good, and finding light even in the darkest days. She reminded the women that while we can’t always control our circumstances, we can choose how we face them—with courage, hope, and the belief that better days are ahead.

Moments like this are more than just a class—they’re seeds of healing planted in hearts that have weathered many storms. We are deeply grateful to Libby and PRC for walking alongside our ladies, helping them discover their own strength, and reminding them to always look up.

Today we’re celebrating 2 years with Brian Rich on our YWCA team!

Brian isn’t just one of our custodians—he’s a steady, caring presence who keeps our spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for every woman, child, family, and staff member who walks through our doors. His hard work might happen behind the scenes, but the warmth and dignity it creates are felt by everyone, every single day.

Brian, thank you for your dedication, your smile, and your willingness to jump in and help wherever you’re needed. Your pride in your work and your heart for people shine through in everything you do. We’re so grateful to have you as part of the YWCA team.

Help us celebrate Brian by dropping a kind word or a 🎉 in the comments below!

Take a Moment to Share Your Heart. At YWCA St. Joseph, we know that gratitude grows when it’s shared.

Our Thankful Tree is waiting for your leaf. Write or draw something you’re thankful for—a kind smile, a memory that makes you smile, or someone who lifts your spirit. You don’t have to sign it—just let your gratitude become part of something bigger.

Each leaf adds warmth, hope, and love to our community. Together, let’s watch our tree bloom with joy and thankfulness—one heartfelt leaf at a time.

From the moment Zach joined us as our Youth Program Manager, he has brought energy, heart, and a thoughtful presence to everything he does. Whether he’s wearing his superhero cap while “Stuff the Bus”, sitting with a child who needs guidance, or finding creative ways to help kids cope with life’s challenges, Zach’s dedication shines through every single day.

Zach, thank you for the laughter and the heart you bring to the YWCA community. Your first year has been nothing short of amazing, and we can’t wait to see all the incredible things you will continue to accomplish!
