Today we’re celebrating Autumn, one of our amazing Child Advocates here at YWCA St. Joseph!

In just one year, Autumn has shown incredible heart and dedication — supporting children and families with compassion while also juggling college classes like a pro. She’s always willing to do whatever needs to be done — from comforting a child to helping finish off Topy’s extra-butter popcorn so it doesn’t go to waste after the kids are full.

Thank you for being such a valued part of our team and for all the love you bring to the YWCA!

October was a powerful month of reflection, action, and community at YWCA St. Joseph. As we observed Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we were reminded of the strength and resilience of survivors, and the importance of standing together to end violence in all its forms.

Today, YWCA Staff paid a visit to our neighbors across the block at Kabob n' Chill for our November edition of LUNCH ON A MISSION!

Tucked inside the Downtown Courtyard Building, this gem will not dissapoint! Owner Nafees and his family proudly serve up authentic Mediterranean favorites in the form of wraps, platters, loaded fries, and more! They provide top notch service, going above and beyond to ensure each customer has the best experience possible. We are DELIGHTED to have Kabob n' Chill in our neighborhood!

October was such a busy and beautiful month! We’re feeling so grateful for our friends at WRDCC’s Restorative Justice Program and Stacey Poirier for their amazing donations to our Bliss Manor Program!

They handcrafted quilts (including one with purple lotuses — the flower of Domestic Violence Awareness), 45 cozy hats, and a stunning poster made by one of their artists. Each piece is filled with heart and hope — a reminder of the power of community and compassion.
