What you’ll do:
This leadership position is responsible for the professional oversight and strategic direction of the Social Services and Treatment Services departments. The role includes supervising licensed staff, recruiting and hiring within the social services and clinical teams, and representation on multidisciplinary committees. The Director serves as a key liaison with community partners and oversees all community discharge processes. The Director supervises and actively contributes to social service functions related to admissions, progress reviews, treatment planning, habilitation/rehabilitation services, and discharge planning. They provide ongoing support and clinical guidance to the social work team in collaboration with an LCSW. Additional responsibilities include coordinating student practicum placements with universities for BSW and MSW Students. This position will also serve as the facility guardianship coordinator ensuring guardianship packets are completed and sent to Central Office in a timely manner.

As Director of Treatment Services, this leader also supports the implementation of evidence-based practices that are person-centered, recovery-oriented, and delivered by qualified professionals. The role provides administrative leadership to treatment programs and non-nursing clinical departments, including responsibility for hiring within designated programs.

In addition to core leadership responsibilities, this position also serves as the facility’s Forensic Coordinator. This includes ensuring compliance with Missouri Revised Statutes, DMH operating regulations, and the DMH Forensic Manual. The Director oversees victim and law enforcement notifications, coordinates forensic documentation, and provides expert guidance to treatment teams on legal processes involving patients found Not Guilty by Reason of Mental Disease or Defect (NGRI) or Permanently Incompetent to Stand Trial (PIST). They serve as a liaison with attorneys and courts, co-lead forensic training and policy development, and ensure timely submission of forensic reports and renewals to Central Office. This role works closely with the Director of Forensic Services to uphold regulatory compliance and effective patient transitions across the forensic continuum.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
A qualified candidate will have both managerial and leadership skills. They will be expected to work well within an interdisciplinary treatment team and be comfortable co-supervising individuals from various departments while working closely with the department/discipline directors. A qualified candidate will have excellent clinical, organizational, and writing skills. A qualified candidate will also be willing to keep up to date on evidenced based practices and trauma-informed care as it relates to both clients and staff.

What you’ll do:
NMPRC is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Substance Use Counselor, or a Licensed Professional Counselor. This position will include providing individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and case management services to clients in a program for persons with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and/or substance use disorders. The individual will work with an interdisciplinary treatment team, working in evidence-based treatment modalities that include, but are not limited to Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Depending upon the candidate’s professional background, duties may also include performing advanced clinical social work functions in an evidence-based treatment program, initial and periodic assessments of the clients’ social, environmental and economic background for use in diagnosis, prognosis, rehabilitation/habilitation or treatment planning; and involves frequent contact with other health and social service groups to promote cooperative assistance in meeting the social and physical needs of the patients/clients and their families. Work may also involve techniques of community organization to help facilitate treatment, and normally involves the use of a variety of administration, assessment, planning, psychotherapy and counseling methods and techniques. The employee is expected to work with a high degree of independence, skill, and competence within established policies.

Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Knowledge of the ethical considerations involved in the practice of licensed clinical social work. Knowledge of methods, principles, practices, and techniques of casework, group work, client-centered advocacy, community, organization, research, psychotherapy, and other clinical skills as they apply to intervention programs for persons with mental illness and/or developmental or physical disabilities. Ability to apply a variety of techniques and methods in the areas of assessment, planning, and individual and group therapy.

• Implements and tracks the Sick Leave Incentive program.
• Implements and tracks time earned/used in conjunction with the Inclement Weather policy.
• Troubleshoot and maintains time clocks.
• Develop training materials and train all users on the time clock system.
• Participate in the development and deployment of MOVERS/TCP as requested.
• Research and explain any pay amount/leave accumulations/leave use/compensatory bucket discrepancies to effected staff.
• Generate and review all audit trails to ensure accuracy of paychecks.
• Track and maintain records for overtime use to ensure compliance with policy.
• Track PRN hour use to ensure compliance with state statute.
• Enter all CPERS/PPERS in SAM II, research, and correct rejections.
• Fill clinical and administration orders for badges appropriate to any pass privilege changes to consumers.
• Maintain Badge Pass entries and supplies.
• Maintain all staff demographic information.
• Track FMLA and Work Compensation hours for Employee Health reports and compliance.
• Maintain accuracy and supply of current New Employee Onboarding Policy book.
• Track statistics related to the application of Administrative Leave hours for Governing Body reports.
• Performs other related work as assigned.
