CSB Parking Notice Over Winter Break!

All students with a vehicle on the CSB campus are asked to park in Lot #12 (the gravel lot) over Winter Break. If lot #12 is full, please park in lot #18 (the Athletic Complex lot).

This includes BOTH students staying on campus with a vehicle over break and students leaving a vehicle on campus while they are away on break.

Employees should park in employee lots during their work shift. Employee vehicles left overnight on the CSB campus for any reason must be moved to lots #12 or #18.

These parking arrangements are necessary to allow for snow removal in parking lots. Failure to park your vehicle in the appropriate lot may result in ticketing and/or your vehicle being TOWED at your expense.

All vehicles in lot #12 must have a current/valid CSB or SJU parking permit. You can get a temporary permit at the CSB security office if needed.

Due to inclement weather conditions, the College of Saint Benedict (CSB) and Saint John’s University (SJU) will be closed on Monday, March 25, 2024. Our top priorities are the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff.

Students: All classes are moved to remote learning. Your professor will reach out and provide guidance on coursework and any adjustments to class schedules. LINK busing will not be running on Monday, March 25, 2024. Please check your email for LINK busing updates.

With the suspension of the LINK busing service, we understand the inclination to seek alternative transportation methods and resume regular activities. However, we urge you to refrain from traveling if possible. Attempting to commute, particularly with personal vehicles that are not used regularly, is ill-advised. This is often accompanied by requests to help with flat tires, dead batteries, or stuck vehicles, placing undue strain on emergency and facility management teams working tirelessly to maintain operational campuses.

Staff/Faculty: While CSB and SJU will be closed for regular operations, essential staff members should report to campus as scheduled. Essential services will continue to operate to ensure the safety and security of our campus. Contact your supervisor if you are unsure how this pertains to you.

We urge all staff members and students to exercise caution and prioritize their safety when traveling in these conditions. Please refrain from visiting campus unless necessary. Please contact your supervisor if you have any questions or need support.

Your cooperation is crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of essential services during this time. Please prioritize safety and avoid unnecessary travel, allowing emergency and facility management teams to focus on critical tasks.

Reminder to report unsafe conditions: CSB or SJU/OSB.
