Today is Ash Wednesday, a day of reflection and renewal.

At Saint Therese, our mission is rooted in faith and guided by compassion. As we begin the season of Lent, we pause to reflect on what matters most and recommit ourselves to serving others with dignity, love, and grace.

May this season bring peace, hope, and spiritual renewal to you and your loved ones.

Rose Recognition at Saint Therese of Woodbury 🌹

For the past few years, Rose Recognition has been a meaningful part of life at Saint Therese of Woodbury — a simple, powerful way to share gratitude for team members who live out the Saint Therese values. Created from our nationally recognized OARS (Onboarding and Retention Success) program, we’re continuing to highlight and grow this gratitude initiative — and we want our broader community to be part of it.

Staff members, residents, families, visitors, volunteers, and partners are all invited to fill out a Rose Recognition card to acknowledge moments of care, teamwork, and compassion. Cards are shared publicly on campus and displayed on our gratitude tree, and team members who receive multiple recognitions for the same value are honored with a Rose Award pin.

This program reflects who we are — and the culture of appreciation we strive to create every day.

📍 Rose Recognition cards and drop boxes are located throughout the Saint Therese of Woodbury campus.

We had a wonderful Adult Children program Wednesday evening at Saint Therese of Woodbury, bringing together adult children and community experts for an honest, supportive conversation.

From brain health and rehab to estate planning, decluttering, and care coordination, our speakers shared practical guidance and one clear message: planning ahead, having conversations early, and staying curious can make a meaningful difference for families.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a thoughtful, engaging night. And thank you to Caring Transitions Twin Cities East, Alzheimer's Association Minnesota-North Dakota,
Miroslavich Law, and Ascend Rehabilitation for sharing your expertise.

January is National Glaucoma Awareness Month -- Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of vision loss, and it often has no early warning signs. That’s why regular eye exams are so important, especially as we age.

Routine eye checkups can help catch glaucoma early and protect vision. The good news is that when glaucoma is detected early, treatment can often slow or prevent vision loss.

Learn more about glaucoma, risk factors, and the importance of regular eye exams at the National Eye Institute:

There's a very cool exhibit Vatican-related happening in the Twin Cities. More than 250 papal artifacts are now on display at Mall of America as part of Vatican Unveiled, a special exhibit curated by Father Richard Kunst in recognition of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis' 175th anniversary. The collection includes historic documents, ceremonial items, and personal objects connected to the papacy, offering a unique look at centuries of Church history. The exhibit is open now through Feb. 1, 2026. https://www.archspm.org/vaticanunveiled/
