Sandy came to Alloy Personal Training with a clear goal: to stay healthy and active so that she could fully enjoy time with her grandchildren for many years to come.
Before joining Alloy, Sandy hadn't found an exercise program that truly stuck. After lifting a grandchild and tweaking her lower back - followed by weeks of painful spasms - her doctor encouraged her to begin a structured strength training program. "I knew I needed to do something", Sandy says, "I didn't want to feel limited, or worry about getting hurt again."
Once she started at Alloy, she quickly began seeing changes. InBody scans showed her body shifting - losing fat and gaining muscle - and with the guidance of Alloy coaches, she started getting stronger in ways that surprised her.
"I'm pulling 40 pounds now - I started at 20," she says. "Even lifting 20 pounds overhead feels easier, like putting a suitcase in an overhead bin on the airplane."
Those gains have carried over into everyday life. Grocery bags feel lighter, her energy is higher, and she feels stronger, more toned, and more confident. Sandy has lost body fat, dropped several pounds, and even had to buy smaller jeans. After losing her first 5-6 pounds she says, "My sister noticed right away" which felt rewarding.
The community has been a big part of her success. "Nothing has ever brought me back to fitness consistently like Alloy," Sandy says. "The small groups, individual attention, encouragement, plus the 1:1 sessions with the trainers, make all the difference."
Sandy's journey shows that with the right coaching, support, a plan, lasting strength and confidence are possible at any stage in life. Way to go, Sandy!
