I’m explaining rigor mortis in a way most people haven’t heard before: What it is, how it works, and how long it really lasts. Also, no, rigor mortis does not cause bodies to “sit up”. Dead bodies do not sit up, that’s just an old myth!

Be gentle with yourself. Give your heart the space it needs to heal at its own pace. ❤️

We provide meaningful grief support here at the funeral home because no one should have to navigate loss alone. Our workshops give people a safe space to share their experiences, hear others’ stories, and find comfort in knowing someone truly understands what they are going through. Seeing the relief and connection that come from these moments is truly powerful, and it reminds us why this work is so important.
