In honor of St Patrick’s Day, the Legacy put on a pub crawl for our residents! Residents were given a destination list all over the property to visit and indulge in surprise treats and activities! Each department (reception, administration, nursing, etc.) really got creative with their individual booths!

Today we would like to spotlight the Nurse Practitioner supporting our residents through Lifespark Medical Group!

Jennifer has been working as a Nurse Practitioner in Geriatrics since 1999 and has a passion for building meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Through weekly visits and proactive care, she helps ensure residents receive thoughtful medical support right where they live.

We’re grateful to have Jennifer as part of the team helping residents .

Our talented sewing group has been busy stitching something special! 🧵❤️ Residents created several beautiful quilts, hats and shawls to donate to patients at North Memorial Hospital. Each one is stitched with care and kindness, bringing warmth and comfort to those who need it most. We’re so proud of our generous and talented residents!

Today we encountered our sensory spa in the Gardens. Lavender hand soaks, hand massages, taking in familiar smells, and all while listening to calming soundscapes under our northern lights projector.

Sensory activities are beneficial in that they may bring awareness to our own bodies and mood. Stimulation of the hand muscles also promotes relaxation.

🫧🫧Fun fact: blowing bubbles isn’t just for kids! The process of blowing bubbles helps to calm the nervous system and improve focus. So next time you’re feeling stressed, try blowing some bubbles! 🫧🫧
