Today, 24 of our fire department and ambulance members dropped everything on a Monday afternoon to respond to a motor vehicle accident. That kind of dedication doesn’t happen without sacrifice, both from our volunteers and the supportive community behind them.

A heartfelt thank you to the local businesses, employers, and families who understand the call to serve and allow our responders to leave work at a moment’s notice. Your support makes it possible.

Rain and thunderstorms are possible at times, but specific details remain uncertain. The next favorable period is across northern Wisconsin Tuesday night, but cannot rule out a few getting in earlier in the day. Higher chances for rain and storms on Wednesday and Thursday. Meanwhile, temperatures will trend above normal from Tuesday through the weekend, peaking on Wednesday where high humidity will lead to heat index values in the 100s.

⛈ Most likely scenario remains that a broken line of storms develops along an approaching cold front oriented from central to north-central Wisconsin this afternoon. Some storms may become strong or severe as the cold front progresses across the eastern half of the state, with the primary hazards being damaging wind gusts and up to quarter-sized hail. Higher confidence in stronger storms is over far northeast Wisconsin (dotted yellow line).
