Register for our ADA Audio webinar titled, "High Risk Court Users: Tapping into the Value of a Support Person as a Critical ADA Accommodation." Courts nationwide grapple with the challenges of providing or allowing a “support person” as an ADA accommodation—an issue that can become complicated and even contentious. When implemented properly, a support person can effectively ensure access to justice for court users with a range of disabilities, including mental health conditions, learning disabilities, brain injuries, ADHD, and autism. Success hinges on careful planning: selecting the right individual, assessing access and functional needs, and preserving the integrity of court proceedings and programs.
