✨ New Blog Drop: “Take A Bow-You’re DONE Playing a Role 🎭

At some point, many of us, especially women, leaders, caregivers, and firstborn daughters-were handed a script.

We didn’t audition for it. We didn’t write it. But we memorized every line.

Because we were taught:
✨Be good
✨Be selfless
✨Don’t ask for too much
✨Don’t rock the boat.

In this week’s blog, we’re exploring the moment we stop performing for everyone else’s expectations and start living for ourselves.

🌿 Weekly Blog Drop: “Stop Chasing What Was Never Meant to Run.”

Another week, another gentle reminder to the incredible women out there: You don’t need to chase what’s already aligned with you. YOU ARE WORTH.

This week on Your Own Pathway, I unpack something many of us have been quietly struggling with:

✨We’ve spent so much of our lives chasing:

-Love that’s not reciprocal
-Validation that never lasts
-Titles that don’t fulfill us
-Closure that never comes
-Dreams that were never even ours

This week’s blog is a love letter to every woman who’s ever been tired of hustling for her worth.

This is your reminder to come home to yourself. 💕

Welcome to this week’s blog from Your Own Pathway! 🦋

As we celebrate Independence Day, we’re shifting the focus inward-to your personal, emotional, and spiritual liberation.

This week is all about having the audacity to be FREE and embracing what it truly means for a woman to live a free life.

Because let’s be honest-there comes a moment in every woman’s journey when she realizes:

“I don’t just want more. I want ME.”

A lot goes behind doing a Podcast. Some days, I have it together, and some days, it’s a s**t day!

Regardless, I wake up each day, grateful that I get to meet amazing people who are forging their own path and who are OWNING IT.

Some days, it may feel like you’re not OWNING IT and that’s part of OWNING IT.

If you would like to be featured on my podcast, please DM me and I would love to connect!

Welcome to another episode from Your Own Pathway!

In this week’s episode, I get personal about the changes in my life and the decisions that I am making about my future as I continue to forge my own path while OWNING IT.

As someone who has always valued logic, responsibility, and evidence-based practice, I am taking a leap of faith, listening to my heart, and trusting my soul as I close an old book of my life and start a new book.

Sometimes, we have to take risks that seem “crazy” that seem illogical and impossible and yet, you believe in the POSSIBLE.

My favorite quote about taking a chance and being crazy goes, "The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do." Steve Jobs.

So, BE CRAZY AND OWN IT!

Welcome to another podcast episode of OWNING IT!
In this week’s episode, my guest is JC Lippold who is a “professional homemaker.” He does this by holding space for others as a teacher of movement and mindset, a community engager and social movement trailblazer, a theatre director, and a full-time leadership and change coach and consultant.

In this fun episode, JC and Poiab talk about the concept of “enoughness” and how especially in American society, we have been told that we need to always do more, be more, and push ourselves more, essentially, we can never BE ENOUGH.

JC discusses the importance of how “one size does not fit all” and how when we make these assumptions and expectations, and the outcome does not work for all, people are automatically shamed and judged for not receiving the same results.

As we end January, for those who have not reached their “new year’s resolutions” give yourself kindness, compassion, and know that YOU ARE ENOUGH.

Happy New Year everyone!

After taking a much needed break, Your Own Pathway is back in full swing!

The first thing is resuming the OWNING IT Podcast! And who better to ring in the new year than my next guest, Tanya Spencer, who is all about Bad-asshery.

Tanya and I had a fabulous, fun, and inspiring conversation. She is the Founder of F🤬CK Being Stuck Coaching where she is a dynamic coach who empowers women in male dominated fields to step into their confidence, influence, and power. With over 20 years of experience, Tanya specializes in helping women break through self-doubts, communicate their expertise, stand up for their value, and radiate their executive presence. For her, it’s all about your bad-asshery.

In this episode, Tanya, openly discusses the challenges, difficulties, and barriers that many women still encounter in male dominated fields. She worked in Security for a number of years traveling to high conflict areas all around the world. Tanya talked about how her background in Human Rights was helpful in problem solving and communication, especially in very high conflict situations where violence was often the solution.

This episode is open and honest, especially the double standards as a woman, wife, and mother when Tanya chose to have a career. The episode also talks about the disparities in the workplace and the emotional unpaid labor that women endure both at home and at work that could potentially impact their earning potential and their ability to move up within the company.

In December of 2019, I suffered an accident that changed the course of life. I broke my right ankle, which prevented me from performing my daily functioning tasks to include not being able to drive to and from work.

Sadly, the ankle break wasn't the hard part but dealing with my work place at the time was the most traumatic part. I suffered bullying, trauma, shame, and belittling from my boss and the organization.

I could have chosen to stay a victim to the circumstance, accepted the abuse, and allowed helpless and hopeless to take over.

Instead, I chose to EM-POWER, advocate, speak up, and take control of my situation and walk away from my "safe" federal job that tried to insert their power over me to make me believe that I was powerless.

In this clip, I explain why I made this episode for my Youtube channel. I want to remind and empower others that they DO have power, you DO NOT have to accept and be powerless, and that anyone can FORGE THEIR OWN PATH!

Five years ago, I would never have anticipated that this incident would change the course of my path and life. I truly believe that even though this happened, it was the universe's bigger plan for me to help empower others to forge and own their path.

Here's to OWNING IT! 🦋

Since I started networking over two years ago, I’ve met some amazing people in all various industries who have been great to network with due to the commonality in the clients we serve.

I’ve recently met a few people in which we agreed that our professions were part of the “CLEAN UP CREW.” We’re the ones that help people clean up by helping them rebuild the new foundations for their lives.

After 16 years in the field as a Social Worker and a Psychotherapist, I’ve seen, heard, and worked with people at their most vulnerable.

I’ve had many clients ask me to share my professional knowledge to help others by sharing what I know and what I see to help others learn and be informed.

I decided to make this video to help other women as many of my patients and clients were women who were the ones that were seeking services due to life circumstances that lead them to work with me.

The reality is, most women are still the primary caregivers, communicators for continued care, and unfortunately, the ones that suffer the economic, caregiving, and traumatic hardships when left vulnerable.

This episode is not meant to shame, judge, or blame anyone who may have gone through the situations that are discussed; but rather it is to educate and inform. It’s about taking accountability for healing, growth, and establishing boundaries

THIS IS A REMINDER TO KNOW YOUR WORTH 💕
