We love peanut butter—but for some, it can be life-threatening. Peanut allergies are one of the most common causes of severe allergic reactions in children and adults.

🚨 Did you know? In cases of anaphylaxis, CPR may be needed if the person stops breathing or loses a pulse after exposure.

✅ Be prepared:
✔️ Know the signs of anaphylaxis (trouble breathing, swelling, hives)
✔️ Use an epinephrine auto-injector immediately
✔️ Call 911
✔️ Start CPR if the person becomes unresponsive and isn’t breathing

As temperatures drop, it’s important to keep babies warm without increasing the risk of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).

🚨 Loose blankets and overheating can be dangerous.
Here’s how to keep your newborns and infants safe while they sleep:

✅ DO THIS
✔️ Always place baby on their BACK
✔️ Use a sleep sack or wearable blanket
✔️ Dress baby in light layers (1 more than an adult)
✔️ Keep the room 68–72°F
✔️ Check baby’s chest or back to see if they’re warm enough

🚫 AVOID
❌ Loose blankets in the crib
❌ Hats during sleep
❌ Heavy coats or thick fleece
❌ Overheating
❌ Swaddling once baby shows signs of rolling

🩹 FIRST AID TIP: STOP THE BLEED

Bleeding won’t stop? Remember this lifesaving rule:
👉 PRESSURE saves lives.

What to do in an emergency:
✅ Apply firm, direct pressure to the wound
✅ Use a clean cloth or bandage
✅ If blood soaks through, do NOT remove it—add more layers
✅ Keep pressure until bleeding slows or stops
🚑 Call 911 if bleeding is severe or won’t stop

💡 Why it matters:
Uncontrolled bleeding can become life-threatening in minutes. Knowing this simple step can make the difference between life and death.
