A couple of weeks ago Christine and I enjoyed a beautiful walk in the autumn sunshine and spent time reflecting on the seasons of our lives in our friendship as well as our Returning to Your Light partnership (our co-creation offering retreats and healing circles for other empaths, healers, helpers & big hearted souls of the world).
As we were talking about our desire to slow down and refocus on our hearts and our friendship with one another, I was reminded of the concept of "retiring" that I recently learned a beautiful definition of.
When people hear this term, they often think of some kind of ending- for example: retiring from a job, retiring a racehorse, retiring a sports number/ jersey, etc... an ending to an era.
In the new definition I learned, "retiring" is more about what the term actually says: "re- tiring". It's like bringing a car into the garage- not to park it there for good, but to "re- tire" the car and send it back out for it's next journey. Sometimes we need to switch out our wheels, refocus on our purpose, and redefine where we are going.
Sitting upon this bench Christine and I came to a decision from a place of so much love, peace, and clarity. We decided to retire our Returning to Your Light retreats. New adventures await, and we are ready to look forward with open hearts! 💫
Seems a bit poetic that the facilitators who have held space for the healers to tend to their hearts are retiring to tend to their own hearts... 💖
Words would fall short to describe our gratitude and love for the sacred land of , their wonderful staff, and every retreat participant we have crossed paths with. We are deeply grateful and humbled to have shared this part of our journey with so many beautiful souls!
