This old grandfather clock had stopped ticking long ago—but I wasn’t ready to let it go 🕰️💛
Instead, I gave it a new purpose. I carefully removed the inner workings, added a few wooden shelves, and turned it into the most charming little cabinet. Now it holds books, candles, and tiny keepsakes—still standing tall, just in a different way. It’s one of my favorite makeovers, full of character and history. A second life for a timeless piece. ✨📚

I am drawing a blank on how to decorate this wall with the TV. We have chosen not to add a console bc it would block the walkway beside the chase part of the couch.

Fiancé asked me to make a side table for our new couch to protect it from one little mischievous cat. I’m planning to add a charging port on the top panel and a scratching pad on the side once they arrive. And in this, actually hard to believe, but my wife had already opened a shop on the Tedooo app and had been posting my projects there, she slowly built an audience, and for my birthday she gave me the shop as a gift, telling me that if I wanted, I could keep going and she’d help. I thought it could be interesting, and now we’re both on there together. For this build I used red oak plywood and tried steam bending for the 1/8" edge for the first time, as well as kerf bending. The valance on top is to hide the bottom part of the charging port.

I created this spooky Halloween fairy garden in an old birdbath and now I'm completely obsessed with how cute and creepy it turned out, especially those little ghosts peeking out between the miniature tombstones.

The whole project started when I saw someone post about seasonal fairy gardens in a crafting group, and I realized I could transform my neglected birdbath into something festive instead of letting it collect leaves all fall. I gathered tiny skeletons, miniature pumpkins, and those adorable little white ghosts, then arranged them with some small succulents and twiggy branches to create this perfect Halloween village scene.

The best part was hunting down all the tiny accessories - I found the miniature fence and tombstones through a dollhouse supplier on the Tedooo app who specializes in seasonal miniatures, and she even threw in some extra skull decorations that I scattered around the rocks. The whole community there has been so helpful with ideas for different holiday themes, and I'm already planning a Christmas version.

What I love most is how it brings festive charm to my front porch without being too scary for the little trick-or-treaters. The ghosts are friendly rather than frightening, and the skeletons look more whimsical than spooky sitting among the plants. My neighbors keep stopping to get a closer look, and I'm definitely going to keep this going through the seasons because there's something so satisfying about creating these tiny worlds.
