In heartfelt solidarity with our community — our neighbors, friends, and families — Midwest Haven stands with Minnesota’s Day of Truth and Freedom on January 23rd. The events unfolding across Minnesota have touched the lives of so many, leaving a deep imprint on our bodies, hearts, and minds.

For our colleagues and friends living outside of Minnesota/United States- what is transpiring here goes beyond what is being propagandized as “protection” and/or “targeting only the dangerous people”. The reality is this is purely an act of terrorizing. The real agenda is to take away our most cherished asset- our sense of SAFETY. And it is unbelievable.
This is not affecting only one group — it has affected all Minnesotans and all walks of life. Particularly our youngest Minnesotan’s- children who don’t understand why school is being called off or why there’s disruption in our neighborhoods …or even worse; why their family member was taken away.

But we are connected as neighbors, as community members, and as people who cherish one another. We are moved by the growing solidarity and the way individuals and communities are showing up for each other during this difficult time. We know this work, this struggle, this fight for truth, justice, and dignity is hard — it weighs heavily on all of us.

As we stand together, let us hold one another with kindness, patience, and unwavering commitment to justice and belonging.

Midwest Haven is proud to welcome our next training cohort of exceptional mental health professionals. This dynamic group represents four licensure tracks across Minnesota and Wisconsin, including LPCCs, LADCs, LICSWs/LCSWs, and LMFTs. Collectively, these clinicians bring expertise in working with children in the permanency system, neurodivergent individuals, substance use recovery, neurological conditions, and anxiety-related disorders. We are honored to support and train such a diverse and impactful group of professionals committed to advancing high-quality, trauma-informed care.
