After an amazing three and a half years of running The HopeFULL Company, we have come to the difficult decision to close the business.

It has been an wonderful ride in so many ways. Being so intimately invited into the lives of others by way of stories of sickness, recovery and health has been incredibly rewarding. We have helped thousands (yes, thousands!) of people eat, and because you’ve been our supporters YOU have helped them too. Thank you.

Sometimes success is not measured by how far up the mountain you climb, it is in knowing when to descend. We do not feel as if we’ve failed, we feel brave because we tried.

We will continue to make HopeFULLs and BellyFULLs for our friends and family who need them, and they will always remain stocked in our freezers. We hope that you, too, continue to enjoy yours over the years to come and that somehow, through little sun-kissed berries and golden sweet potatoes, a legacy of Hope will live on.

A recent blog post by CaringBridge gives advice on coping with grief. I (co-founder Stephanie) recently lost my dear father-in-law quite unexpectedly. I miss him terribly and mourn the times that we won't have again and the experiences my children won't have with their grandfather. One of the best pieces of advice I've heard was to speak his name freely, often and and with love. What has helped you cope with grief?

We had a blast at The Shops at West End's Cool Kid's Health and Safety night - thanks to all for coming out! We met a lot of great families. :) These two kiddos looked so cute rockin' their BellyFULL buttons I had to snap a pic!

Our first day with our intern Amy was a blast! We are so blessed to have her on board!

Steph and her family moved to Atlanta last week. Steph's husband had an amazing opportunity to take over his family's business and The HopeFULL Company is ready to expand into the Southern market, so although the move was tough emotionally it was the right thing for everyone. I will miss working across the desk from my sister, but we will commute for monthly meetings (and thank goodness for Skype and Facetime!). :) It's an exciting time for The HopeFULL Company - we now has an Atlanta office! So for all you southerners be on the look out for HopeFULL and BellyFULL Kits on your store shelves soon! :)
