Strengths of our program: Strong inpatient, OB, and clinic-based care, including an adolescent clinic and nursing homel transitional care experience, with elective opportunities in local and rural settings. Longitudinal involvement in maternity care, sports medicine, colonoscopy training, and other key areas. Tailored residency experience to support future career goals and develop strength across the full breadth of family medicine.

✨ Dr. Asila Osman ✨
🩺 Taking an extended break to enjoy family time and travel with my kids, including a trip to where I grew up. Planning to come back to the Twin Cities. Practice location TBD.
🩺 Favorite residency memories: morning signouts with some truly funny moments. I really enjoyed everyone’s sense of humor.
🩺 My first attending moneys splurge will be visiting some amazing places in New Zealand and Australia with my family

📚 She will be spending her extra free time: gardening, hiking the North Shore, & traveling to Croatia in September

📚 Her first big attending moneys purchase: We close on our first home in Duluth on July 1st!

🐺 Will be spending his extra time doing anything outdoors, a late summer backpacking trip to Isle Royale, spending time with friends and family

It’s that time of year… 🥺 to start saying farewell to our PGY-3s😭
Who better to start with them our 💅 wellness queen 👑 ✨ Dr. Sarah Rajala ✨

🐴 Headed to St John’s 2.0/Health Partners White Bear Lake (where she will be 4 of our other recent grads!)
🥐 Practicing outpatient only with a hopeful emphasis on weight management medicine
🐴 Favorite residency memories: dinner and hot tubing at Dr Smithson’s, after didactics happy hours, and sleep-deprived giggles at morning report
🥐 Looking forward to having more time to just do the things I love — exercise, travel, cook, host dinner parties, horseback ride
🐴 First big purchase: no definitive plans, probably a plane ticket somewhere!
