Minnesota Prevention Resource Center Minnesota Prevention Resource Center (MPRC) provides information to address the root causes of substance misuse.

We are part of a system that shares information, data, and in-person support to grow substance misuse prevention across Minnesota. Mission: To empower Minnesotans to advance substance misuse primary prevention statewide. Values:
-All people have the right to a healthy life free from addiction.
-Building and maintaining a strong prevention network contributes to the greater prevention community.
-Collaboration, learning, and growth are key to strong prevention efforts. Our work:
-Share stories of Minnesota community-based prevention work in action.
-Host Minnesota’s annual statewide prevention conference.
-Host ongoing training opportunities that cover prevention, basic skills and ethics.
-Provide an easy-to-search, online collection of prevention resources.
-Communicate essential news and information on prevention work in Minnesota.
-Create prevention-based resources. Funded by the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Behavioral Health, Housing, and Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services Administration and hosted by the Associations for Nonsmokers MN.

Recent federal action taken to ban hemp-derived THC products nationally has turned many people’s attention toward hemp-derived THC products in Minnesota. People are wondering: What are these products, where are they sold, and who can purchase them? In this webinar, Dr. Eileen Delehanty, a Research Associate at the University of Minnesota Cannabis Research Center will present findings on a recent study looking at how easy it is for underage people to purchase hemp-derived THC products in stores in Minnesota and Katie Engman, the Policy and Compliance Program Director at the Association for Nonsmokers-Minnesota (ANSR) will share lessons from hemp-derived THC compliance checks.
