A Journey Back to Independence 💛

This week, we get to celebrate something very special.

Our Resident Ambassador, Lecraig, will be transitioning from Assisted Living back to Independent Living after a successful rehabilitation journey — after spending the last two years as a valued member of our community.

When Lecraig first arrived, his goal was simple but powerful: regain his strength and return to the community lifestyle he loves. Through hard work, therapy support, and determination, he stayed focused on that goal every single day.

Along the way, Lecraig became so much more than a resident — he became a welcoming face for others, offering encouragement, stories, and friendship as our Resident Ambassador.

His story is a beautiful reminder that Assisted Living is not always a final stop. For many, it is a supportive place to heal, rebuild, and prepare for the next chapter.

We are incredibly proud of you, Lecraig. Thank you for the joy and positivity you brought to our community over the past two years. We can’t wait to see you thrive in Independent Living!

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on our incredible Health Unit Coordinator, Kassie!

Kassie has been a valued member of our community for the past year, supporting all things resident care. From coordinating appointments and transportation to assisting with daily resident needs, she truly goes above and beyond every single day.

We are so grateful for her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication to making a difference in the lives of our residents. Kassie, thank you for all that you do! 💙

Our residents had the joy of welcoming University of Minnesota student volunteers for engaging conversation and fun activities. Connecting across generations created meaningful moments, shared stories, and lots of smiles. We are so thankful for this special time together.

Winter blues? Not here! Our residents enjoyed a peaceful walk through the Como Conservatory and Sunken Garden, marveling at the ever-changing floral displays and the graceful koi swimming in the garden pond. A fragrant, colorful escape that felt like spring in the middle of winter!

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Salina, our incredible Medical Assistance Specialist!

Salina has been part of our community for the past two years, starting as a Care Coordinator and recently earning a well-deserved promotion. In her role, she brings compassion, dedication, and unwavering support to our residents and their families, helping them navigate county resources and ensuring they stay active on essential programs.

We are so grateful to have such a valuable member on our team who makes a real difference every day!

Cold temps didn’t stop the fun this week! Our residents bundled up and braved the chill for a memorable visit to the Minnesota Zoo 🐾🦒 Warm smiles, great company, and plenty of animal adventures made it a day to remember. Proof that a little cold weather can’t freeze our sense of fun!
