⭐️ IMMEDIATE OPENINGS FOR OUR 18+ DBT GROUP ⭐️

Art of Counseling has immediate openings in our adult DBT Program located in our main offices in Lowertown, Saint Paul.

Our DBT groups are uniquely co-facilitated both by a therapist and an art therapist or an expressive arts therapist, blending traditional DBT skills training with creative approaches to support learning and deepen personal growth. Skills are explored through both discussion and hands-on creative directives, which can be especially helpful for those who learn best through doing.

Our DBT groups are offered in-person at the following times:

⚡️ Tuesdays from 10am–1pm
⚡️ Wednesdays from 3–6pm
⚡️ Thursdays from 3–6pm

Individual therapy sessions are also part of the program and can be done virtually or in-person.

If you’ve been considering DBT and want a supportive space that integrates creativity into the process, we’d love to hear from you.

Visit our website or reach out to learn more, we’ll check to see if we’re in-network with your insurance, and then start moving forward!

Creative Arts Therapies Week • March 17–23, 2025

Creative Arts Therapies harness the power of artistic expression to support mental health and emotional healing. Each one offers unique tools for self-discovery, healing, and connection.

Here’s a quick look at each one:

🎨 Art Therapy
Uses drawing, painting, sculpture, and other visual art forms to help individuals express emotions, reduce stress, and explore inner experiences.

🌈 Expressive Arts Therapy
Combines multiple creative forms—like art, movement, music, and writing—for a flexible, process-based approach to healing.

🩰 Dance/Movement Therapy
Uses movement and body awareness to promote emotional release, self-expression, and mind-body integration.

🎭 Drama Therapy
Engages storytelling, role-play, and improvisation to explore identity, navigate trauma, and build insight through embodied experience.

🎵 Music Therapy
Involves listening to, creating, or engaging with music to support mood regulation, memory, and emotional expression.

📖 Poetry Therapy
Uses writing, reading, and sharing poetry and lyrical language to process emotions and deepen reflection.

💛 At Art of Counseling, we’re proud to have providers who represent Art Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Drama Therapy, as well as many others who also incorporate poetry, music, dance, and movement into their therapeutic work!

Healing happens in many forms—this week, we honor the creative ones.
