With each monthly visit to TRIA Orthopedics Maple Grove, Kim Pickett is taking an important step toward stronger bones. Guided by her care team, including physician assistant Andrew Cozadd, she’s lowering her risk of refracture and a stronger path forward.

Being diagnosed with osteoporosis in her late 50s, Kim knows how important it is to stay on top of her care. Regular visits to TRIA are now part of her routine, and part of her plan to stay strong.

“Your bone health is a really a big part of being healthy. You just take it for granted,” Kim says.

Over the past year, colleagues on our quality, care and health plan teams have been collaborating to proactively help other members and patients who have recently experienced a fracture be just as diligent as Kim about follow-up care.

“We really want to make sure that women who have suffered a fracture are receiving the appropriate follow-up care so we can support her overall bone health, reduce any secondary fractures and reduce total cost of care,” says Callie, senior project manager, clinician experience.

Because strong bones mean more than stability—they mean confidence to keep moving forward.

It’s high-flying, non-stop action that showcases the young performers of St. Paul’s Circus Juventas. HealthPartners and TRIA Orthopedics are proud to support the annual summer show, Lumiùre. HealthPartners colleagues volunteered for the dress rehearsal scanning tickets and ushering the audience to their seats.

Our work also goes backstage where TRIA’s Performing Arts Medicine program provides on-site medical care for performers during shows. Physicians and physical therapists who understand the physical and mental demands of the performing arts are also embedded into the program.

From the front row to backstage, we’re proud to stand with these artists every step of the way!
