Sunshine in February? Yes, please!
Today we took advantage of the beautiful 72° weather and enjoyed some fresh air outside. Smiles were everywhere… and we even had a special visitor the cutest little dog named Cookie

Moments like these remind us that it’s the simple things sunshine, laughter, and puppy kisses that make the best days.

We are wishing the very best to one of our sweet resident Joan C as she moves on to her next adventure.
Brookefield Park won’t be quite the same without her.

She was always such a delight from her bright clothes and big smile to her love of cats, and talking with everyone she met. She had a way of making people feel comfortable, seen, and welcomed just by being herself.

We are so grateful for the time we had together and for the beautiful memories she leaves behind. We will miss you dearly and are cheering you on in this next chapter.

Sherry was a resident who spent a short time with us at Brookefield Park, yet the impact she made was truly meaningful. She had remarkable strength, a wonderful sense of humor, and a faith that was deeply rooted and inspiring. Sherry loved telling stories and sharing memories especially about her children and grandchildren, who were truly her pride and joy. Talking about them lit up her face, and she always looked forward to their visits.

She often spoke fondly of her years as a teacher and how much she loved working with children. She took great pride in the opportunity she had to teach, heal, and counsel others throughout her life. She also enjoyed reminiscing about her hometown and the strong sense of community she cherished there.

Being around Sherry made you feel welcomed, calm, and at peace. She had a natural way of making people feel special and valued, and she truly loved being around others. She spoke with deep love and appreciation for her husband, who meant so much to her. Sherry’s warmth, faith, and love for people will be deeply missed.

Ellen was one of those souls who quietly left a mark on everyone she met. She had the biggest heart and genuinely cared for others, always wanting to help and make people feel seen. She loved her family deeply, cherished her dolls and crafts, and never missed reading her daily devotion. Ellen thrived on connection she loved company, good conversation, and would so often reach out to grab your hand, making sure you knew just how much she cared. Music made her light up, dancing brought her joy, and she took such pride in exercise always ready to show off just how flexible she was. Sweet, loving, and full of warmth, Ellen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
