First, THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to our coat drive this year. We have received more than $5000 in donations. With these donations, we have purchased 95 coats, as well as hats and gloves. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Every dollar of this campaign goes directly to people served by MHR. We do our best to shop all of the sales and use any coupons we can get our mitts on. Your donations, big and small make a huge difference.

This week we heard the story of an individual who received a coat who said, “I can’t remember the last time I got something new for myself.” Their case manager said that they then wore the coat for the duration of the meeting. Your generosity makes this possible.

Minnesota is NOT a place you can go without having proper winter gear. As of today, we have 15 people on the waitlist to receive coats, and we will leave our requests open for a few more weeks. Please share this far and wide. Remember: every dollar you donate goes right back out to the community. We couldn’t do this without you.

Announcing the beginning of the 2025-2026 MHR Winter Coat Drive. This will be the 8th year for this initiative at MHR!

Our goal is to purchase new coats, hats, and gloves for people receiving MHR services who need warm winter wear. People can donate money through this link (https://app.moonclerk.com/pay/23bctxp1yi9t) or by using the QR code.

This project is entirely funded by donated funds and any size donations will make an impact! Last year we collected over $5000 and provided 144 coats to people receiving MHR services.

MHR’s Health and Wellness Coordinator, Jourdan Hennick, presented at the 2025 Minnesota Oral Health Coalition conference, Oral Health and Overall Health: Innovations and Solutions for the Future.

Her presentation was on providing dental care for people living with serious mental illness. It was an inspiring and hopeful conference, with so many passionate and knowledgeable professionals from across Minnesota coming together to learn and collaborate.

MHR is grateful for our partnership with the Minnesota Department of Health to better support health and well-being for people living with mental illness!

MHR, Inc. noticed many of their clients also manage chronic conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease. To better support the minds and bodies of their clients, Mental Health Resources (MHR) partnered with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) to improve their behind-the-scenes systems. They now help clients locate and schedule clinic appointments, get medication, or access to***co treatment supports such as Quit Partner.
