Here are a few tips to prevent weakened bones and keep bones strong:
✅ Eat foods that support bone health. Get enough calcium, vitamin D, and protein each day.
✅ Get active. Choose weight-bearing exercises, such as strength training, walking, hiking, jogging, climbing stairs, tennis, and dancing.
✅ Don’t smoke. Smoking increases your risk of weakened bones. If you do smoke, consider quitting.

It is important to have an understanding of just who the proposed Medicare/Medicaid cuts target. These include lawful immigrants who have paid into the Medicare system through their working lives as well as Medicaid for Seniors living in long term care facilities (nursing homes) who need the subsidies in order receive the services they need to survive. Again, these are people who have paid into the system. Please contact your Senators regarding these provisions in the proposed bill.
