Meet the Team Monday!

Meet Rose Johnson, LPCC! Rose is part of our School-Based Mental Health Team, working in the Early Childhood program in the White Bear Lake District.

Rose believes that early childhood mental healthcare is vital to lifelong wellness. She is passionate about supporting children and their caregivers in forming deep, secure relationships by seeking to understand the unique attachment needs of each person. She understands that many children go through stress starting early in life and while society has become increasingly aware of the profound impact of stress and trauma on the body, she is equally certain of the intelligence of the body and its ability to overcome trauma when offered a non-shaming space and a loving witness.

In her office, children find a warm, heart-forward, deeply unassuming, and creative environment to process the most difficult parts of their story and uncover their own unique path to healing. This healing process deepens a child’s capacity for healthier relationships and increases their success in the classroom, home, and community.

Rose received nearly five years of professional training in the Developmental Transformations Therapy Model. This approach employs embodied art making, play, drama, movement, and conversation to explore the unconscious aspects of a child’s inner world, facilitate healing, and bolster resilience despite the unpredictability of life.

She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota. She holds a Masters Degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from St Mary’s University of Minnesota as well a Masters Degree in Fine Art. Rose enjoys working with children ages 0-18. In her free time, Rose enjoys hiking, mountain biking, gardening, and spending time with her family.

For linkage to Rose's services if your child is in the White Bear Lake School District, reach out to your child's administrative team at school for a referral! Or give us a call at Natalis at 651-379-5157.

November is Early Childhood Mental Health Awareness Month!

At Natalis, we believe that supporting children’s emotional wellbeing starts long before they can put their feelings into words. Early experiences shape how kids grow, connect, and thrive—and every child deserves a strong foundation.

This month, we’re raising awareness about the importance of early relationships, play, safety, and responsive caregiving in nurturing healthy development.

If you have questions about your child’s emotional or behavioral growth, our team is here to help—whether through parent support, early childhood therapy, psychological testing, or simply offering guidance.

Healthy beginnings lead to healthy futures.

Meet the Team Monday!

Meet AJ Macbeth, MS. AJ is a doctoral intern working out of our St. Paul location and offers both tele-health and in person appointments.

AJ believes therapy should provide an open space where you can explore your identity and experiences, free of judgement. Sometimes, the struggles we face are due to systemic oppression, colonization, or discrimination, and they strive to incorporate this knowledge into your work together. They believe your relationship is the most important part of your healing, so they are intentional about connecting with you on a personal level. Therapy can be a vulnerable process, and while it won’t always feel easy, AJ loves to use humor and laughter to find balance. Their therapeutic style is collaborative and individual – you have known yourself for much longer than they have, and they consider your self-knowledge to be incredibly valuable data in finding what works best for you.
AJ considers it an honor to do the work of therapy, and they value every client they have the privilege of working with. They have a professional emphasis in working with trans and gender-diverse communities, as well as neurodiversity. AJ especially enjoys working with people who are looking for help with self/identity-exploration and self-acceptance.

Their primary therapy modalities involve a mix of interpersonal process, emotion-focused, and person-centered methods, operating from a foundation in liberation psychology. They currently hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from Iowa State University and are a doctoral intern practicing under the supervision of Dr. Rita Sandidge, PhD, LP. In their free time, they love to create art, make music, read, and play video games.

AJ has immediate openings available! If you are interested in scheduling with them please give us a call at 651-379-5157 or email us at info@natalispsychology.com.
