In this difficult time for our neighbors and communities, Motion Physical Therapy is proud to support local families by collecting essential items for those in need.

We are currently accepting donations of:
🍼 Diapers (all sizes)
🥛 Formula
🧻 Wipes
👶 Other baby & family essentials
🥫 Non-perishable food items (canned goods, pasta, rice, shelf-stable meals)
👕 New or gently used clothing for kids & adults (seasonally appropriate)

📍 Drop-off locations:
• Motion Saint Paul
• Motion Edina
• Motion New Heights
• Motion Minnetonka (beginning in February)

Please note: Motion Physical Therapy will be OPEN Friday morning, continuing to serve the healthcare needs of our patients. As a healthcare provider, we remain committed to supporting our community through both care and access.

Donations will be accepted ongoing until further notice.

PT just lost its professional license status — and the impact is immediate…⬇️

This limits students’ ability to get the loans they need for PT school. Tuition is already high, but taking away financing makes it worse and makes our profession less accessible and less equitable.

We can’t allow the path into PT to narrow.
We must protect diversity in our future workforce and reduce barriers at a time when PTs are needed more than ever.

✨Today, MOTION donated to Rizing Tide, an organization that provides grants to PT students and helps break down these barriers. I hope others will consider doing the same. 🤍✨

Last week was a full one. I had the opportunity to attend AAOMPT, where I connected with leaders in manual therapy and learned about emerging research shaping the future of patient care.

Right after, I headed to Florida for meetings as part of my run for APTA Private Practice Section Director. These conversations were focused on real issues facing clinics today—payment reform, MSO collaboration, and strengthening the resources available to private practice PTs across the country.

Grateful for the chance to learn, advocate, and bring back insights that help us continue delivering exceptional whole-person care at Motion.

At Motion, we believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality physical therapy—whether through insurance or cash pay. Our blended model allows us to meet patients where they are. Some need flexible payment options due to high deductibles, while others rely on insurance to manage broader medical expenses. We’re proud to offer both.

Behind the scenes, I’m deeply involved in advocacy and payer relations to ensure we can continue accepting insurance—because if you’re hurting and your insurance covers care, it’s our duty to be there for you - from medicaid/medicare to commercial payers and cash pay opportunities. This is the way to create an inclusive community.
