Last week we celebrated an incredible milestone—Robyn’s 25 years at Ecumen Sand Prairie!

Robyn has truly been the heart and soul of our community. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication have touched countless lives and helped create a home filled with warmth and love. We honored her with cake, a beautiful video montage featuring messages from residents and team members, and even a magic show—because Robyn has brought 25 years of magic to Ecumen Sand Prairie.

Robyn, thank you for the joy, care, and light you bring every single day. Here’s to you and an amazing legacy!

Blue Christmas—often known as the first Christmas after the loss of a loved one—reminds us that even in seasons of joy, there is space for reflection, remembrance, and love. This year, our community of residents, families, friends, and team members came together to honor the lives of those who touched our hearts in 2025. Each snowflake placed on our tree represented a unique and beautiful life, reminding us that although they are no longer with us, their memories continue to shine brightly among us.

Resident Spotlight: Meet Phyllis

Phyllis moved to Ecumen Sand Prairie from St. Peter, MN in 2019—just before COVID—and she’s been thriving ever since. Hear what Phyllis has to say about calling Ecumen Sand Prairie home:

“I was living in the high rise and liked it very much, but after an extended stay in the hospital I realized I could not live alone, so my daughter found a room here at Ecumen Sand Prairie. I moved in February of 2019 just before Covid.

It was so easy to move in—all the team members and residents were so helpful and friendly. The food was also incredibly good, so it was extremely easy to be comfortable here. I started enjoying all the bingo, trips out to lunch, arts & crafts, and just getting together with the residents.

We always have something to do to keep you busy. A lady from the library comes and brings books for us to choose from, so that is an added service we all enjoy.

I would recommend our place to anyone needing help. I am a happy resident, and I look forward to talking with anyone who needs help finding a new home.” — Phyllis

We wanted to honor our Veterans beyond just one day, so we visited the St. Peter Veterans Memorial, enjoyed cupcakes and coffee with members of the St. Peter Legion, sang patriotic songs, read devotionals, and even had the opportunity to present each of our Veterans with certificates and calendars—thanks to St. Croix Hospice and Ecumen Hospice.

With this beautiful November weather, we’re reminded of all the fun we had this summer—our luau, blowing bubbles, crafts, the carnival, a trip to the county fair, and a visit from Munchkin the miniature horse.

Ecumen Adult Day St. Peter dedicated the month of September to the fair! We had loads of fun doing all the fair time things. We even had a fortune teller! She looked an awful lot like our trusty Adult Day Supervisor, Roxy. Thankfully she had only great fortunes to share. From plinko and target practice to a test on strength and horse races. We had it all and great fun was had by all.
