Our Earth Day scavenger hunt is more than just outdoor fun 🌎🌿—it’s meaningful, hands-on therapy in action!

By exploring nature and searching for specific items, our clients are building visual scanning and figure-ground perception, skills that directly support reading, writing, and classroom participation. 🔍✏️

Walking across grass, mulch, and uneven surfaces provides powerful proprioceptive input, giving their bodies the “heavy work” they need for regulation and focus before seated tasks. 🌱

Holding a clipboard while writing targets bilateral coordination, while picking up small treasures like rocks, pinecones, and leaves strengthens fine motor skills and in-hand manipulation. 🪨🍃

But the best part? Engagement + movement = learning that sticks. 🎯 These activities naturally encourage problem-solving, communication, and curiosity about the world around them—all while supporting sensory regulation and motor development.

From puddle discoveries to spotting something green, our kids are learning, growing, and connecting with their environment in the most meaningful way. 💚🌍
