The Business Office Directors for all three Boulevard communities went together to attend Fusion Friday at the Down Syndrome Association of Great St. Louis. They joined morning socializing, learned safety tips with the fire department & K9 officers, and helped package “pocket hugs.” It was a great day!

In honor of Diwali the Hindu Festival of Lights we hosted our monthly candlelight dinner with flavors from India. Our culinary team created a menu of Indian Vegetable Soup, Chicken Tikka Masala, Basmati Rice and Curry Vegetables.

It was a great day at a very beautiful place. We took a group to Chandler Hill Winery, Defiance Mo and ran into one of our community therapists, Allison and her family celebrating her Birthday! 🎂

We surprised our fearless leader today for Bosses Day, but because she is always on the move; helping residents, talking with families and pitching in where needed, we couldn’t get her in a photo. To see her at work is inspirational. She will always have just the right thing to say and works tirelessly to make our community a great place to live and work. Thank you Mindy!

Today we honored White Cane Awareness Day to celebrate the independence of people who are blind or have low site. We took part in opportunities to learn just a small part of what it might be like to not have our vision in everyday life.

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage month our Culinary team gave us a special dish from four different Latin countries. We had Cocandas Cookies from Brazil, Cubano Sandwiches from Cuba, Empanadas from Mexico and a delicious Spiced Chocolate Almond Bark which is a Mayan/Aztec recipe. It wouldn’t be a celebration without three special flavors of Margaritas.
