Today we hosted a community Book Blitz! Residents were able to bring their gently used books to share with their fellow residents and ultimately donate the left over books to the Library project. Funny enough the cookbooks were the first to go. One of our staff members scored a beautiful coffee table piece.

Two of our most popular events are Wii Bowling and Social Hour! Our resident cheer each other on during our video bowling experience and chat about their day before dinner during social hour. There is always an opportunity to have fun with your friends and neighbors!

Tonight we enjoyed our monthly Candlelight Dinner. Our theme was Aspen Chalet and our Culinarily team delighted our tastebuds with Braised Beef Shortribs or Polish Sausage and Sauerkraut. We finished off the this delicious meal with apple dumpling or bread pudding and a little Baileys in our coffee.

Today is international Holocaust Remembrance Day and our community watched the story of Holocaust survivor Irene Fogal Weiss. We also wanted to support a locally owned business serving traditional Jewish foods. Our Resident Services Director visited Lefty's Bagels Chesterfield. We had Rugelach, which in Yiddish means "little twists” and one of our residents commented “this is the best bagel I’ve ever had!”

We kept our bodies and our minds busy today in spite of bitter cold temps and the beauty of the fallen snow! Stay safe out there!

Snowmagedan is coming and today we prepared our community to have the best snow days EVER! First and foremost we had happy hour to lift our spirits. We prepared goodie bags and set up for our staff to be present and provide for our residents. Last but not least, we would like to welcome AJ, our new Resident Services Assistant who joined our team today!
