No news is good news??!! Mary Zeiser- Williams is doing okay. Still doing therapy 3X/week. Still having some confusion and seeing people’s dopplegangers and swearing they are the people she knows 😢
She has her next MRI at the end of the month with a follow up oncology appointment.
Been trying to get her out and about when we can, hit the pumpkin patch last weekend.

Mary Zeiser- Williams’ CT results are all normal. Liver, kidneys, pancreas, and spleen are all normal in appearance. No abnormal appearing lymph nodes. The bowel and appendix appear normal as well! Initial UTI test was negative but waiting for more in depth test results. Still not sure what is causing the abdomen pain, ask neuro & oncology again at the end of the month.
She’s till having confusion, we tried to go by and visit a friend in another doctors office in the same building but she wouldn’t go into their office. They use to be on the first floor but are now on the second floor, I showed her the names on the entry but she kept insisting to go to the old suite 😢. So I talked her down and just got her to head home instead.

Then this evening I found this, she tied the towels to the stove handle, I guess she didn’t want them to fall off 🤷‍♂️ 😔
So tough to see the person you love deteriorate and change so much ♥️🥹

And then her next MRI is 10/28 and follow up with oncology on 10/29. 🙏🍀🤞
Unfortunately she is still getting easily distracted, confused and the short term memory will never come back.
Her brain is playing tricks on her, she thinks random people are real people she knows and making up stories or conversations that never happened😢
I hate to say it or even think it but I believe this is our new norm, still just taking it day by day because everyday is a new adventure 🙁

Mary Zeiser- Williams’ therapy meeting went good yesterday, Ally & I were there for it and Mary is staying consistent for the most part in OT, PT & Speech with some improvements in areas. We found out she will be there for a total of 12 weeks (still M, W & F) til the 1st week in November for now. They will continue to do family evaluation meetings every 4 weeks to track her progress. The thera**sts all had good things to say about her and Mary looks forward to going everyday.

She has still been having sporadic abdomen pain so I messaged her docs and waiting to see what they say 🤞🍀🙏

This is Mary Zeiser- Williams 5th week in her 6 week stint of out patient rehab at SSM Day Institute.
We have a family meeting this Friday to meet with her 3 thera**sts (OT, PT & Speech) to see where she’s at and what they all think. I’m hoping they will say she needs more AND hopefully insurance will approve it. We shall see 🍀🤞🙏

I’m so bad but every time I see the word “thera**st” I think of this SNL skit 🤦‍♂️ 😝

Well it’s been awhile since I’ve done a “Mary-ism”. Mary Zeiser- Williams made a new one and in the making she inadvertently pranked me.
The other day her sisters Kathy Martin & Sue Wilson and her niece Heather Brinegar-Martin came over to hang out with Mary while I was gone. They had some lunch and Mary tried using our new salt grinder BUT she forgot it has a cap on the bottom so she continued to try and grind half the salt in the grinder and gave up because none came out.
Then unbeknownst to me when I got home and tried to salt my lunch and took off that cap half the salt shaker covered my lunch 🤦‍♂️ 😜 😆
We all had a good laugh at my expense plus I got my salt intake for the year.
