On April 7, 2026, St. Charles County voters will decide on Proposition RT, a ballot measure that could significantly impact funding for services supporting people with developmental disabilities.

Community Living CEO Sheri Wiltse and BCI (Boone Center Inc.) CEO Troy Compardo recently shared a letter about Proposition RT and what it could mean for our community.

My book began as a mother’s love for her son, and it has grown into something much bigger and I'm looking for additional families to share their stories to help inspire others.

That is what I am looking for.

I am inviting parents and caregivers who have lived this journey to share their real stories. Not polished. Not perfect. Honest. The moments when love had to be louder. The advocacy. The frustration. The resilience. The hope that kept you moving forward.

There is no cost to participate. This is not about profit. It is about sharing, learning, and supporting other parents walking this road. You may be recognized by your real name or participate completely anonymously. If selected, we will schedule a follow-up interview to go deeper.
