Went to . Did one run down the mountain. All I could think of was breaking my wrist skiing. So instead… I got back-to-back massages. Ate amazing food. And of course did some shopping.

👋 Haven’t seen one of these in awhile!
The Ideal implant was a saline implant with multiple layers. It had an internal baffling system that allowed water to flow between the multiple compartments. The idea was that this would give a more natural feel versus traditional saline (salt water) implants.

There are three layers:
1️⃣ Central core implant chamber. This chamber is enclosed and not connected to the other chambers.
2️⃣ Baffling system that with slits that allows water to come in and out between the second and third chamber
3️⃣ Outer implant chamber that connects to chamber 2

The company closed in May of 2023.
It was an unique concept. Interestingly, if only one chamber ruptured you wouldn’t appear completely deflated and have a “flat tire.”

I had an amazing day operating. But 2/6/2026 will be remembered not for my work as a surgeon but for tearing my house apart to find a hedgehog with bunny ears. He went missing and there were tears last night at bedtime. After 4 hours of searching, calling local restaurants and friends… he has been found.

This is why I have the best job EVER! My patients make me smile so hard. Queen totally has rocked her breast cancer journey. Today she came in wearing a hat her friend made her with her old dreads. With chemo she lost all of her hair and this hat helped her feel a little more comfortable. Her hair is slowly coming back in curly and beautiful. She showed me her hat and then we both looked at each other and immediately knew what had to be done: play a trick on Ute at our front desk.
