Just had a terrible experience with EMG. I was installing a SA/SA/81, bought through Amazon, which arrived a few days later. After starting to work on it, I found out the volume pot was bad. I called customer service and spoke to Brandon. He asked me to rewire it and sent me the wrong information. After rewiring it, they said it wasn’t wired right. A few days later, I sent it back and had to call back again. By the time we finished, I had missed the Amazon return date for pickups by two days. Now, I’m forced to buy a volume pot because they don’t want to send it out without verifying it's bad, which would require sending a whole video. This is an $18 part. Nobody does that. You should have just sent the volume pot out and made the customer happy. Instead, you made me unhappy. I am refusing to wire any EMG or even advise others to get any, even with the batteries and everything. Better to stick to old-fashioned CTS pots and maybe something like a Pearly Gate for pickups. Tons better, way easier, and you don’t have to put up with the bu****it.
