Did you know that uncontrolled use of NSAIDs (like ibuprofen) or corticosteroids is behind nearly half of all acute gastric ulcer cases? 😲

Multiple acute gastric ulcers form rapidly in the stomach lining due to various triggers, including:
⚠️ Stress & uremia
⚠️ H. pylori infection
⚠️ Harsh foods or alcohol

The symptoms aren't easy to ignore: think upper abdominal pain, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite.

The good news? With the right approach like stopping harmful medications, reducing stress, treating underlying conditions, adjusting your diet, and starting standard ulcer therapy healing is absolutely possible.

Urolithiasis: Did you know that a small stone can cause big trouble?

🔹Stone formation & movement
A calculus forms inside the kidney’s pelvic system and travels down into the ureter. The stone blocks the normal flow of urine, causing the kidney’s pelvic system to dilate (hydronephrosis).

This blockage can lead to:

· Renal colic (severe, waves of pain)
· Obstructive pyelonephritis (kidney infection with fever, chills)

🔹If urine flow isn’t restored in time, the affected kidney can suffer irreversible loss of function.

❗️Don’t ignore severe flank pain, blood in urine, or fever. Early diagnosis and treatment save kidneys.

Signs of a healthy gut👇

If you have these 6 signs, your gut is probably doing its job right. If not… it might be time to listen to what it’s telling you.

1️⃣ Regular bathroom habits like clockwork, without struggle
2️⃣ Normal p**p (Bristol type 3 or 4)
3️⃣ Rarely bloated after meals
4️⃣ Good sleep + waking up rested
5️⃣ Clear skin
6️⃣ No weird symptoms after eating

Your gut affects your mood, skin, sleep, and energy — not just digestion.

Save this for later!
And share with someone who blames “everything” on bloating 😉

Blepharoplasty: What Eyelid Surgery Really Does 👁️

Aging affects the entire face, but the eyes are often the first place we notice changes—think puffiness, excess skin, and stubborn under-eye bags.

Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) isn’t just cosmetic—it can also improve function and comfort. Here’s what the procedure actually involves:

🔹 Preparation
The surgeon maps out the treatment area first. The main culprit behind “heavy” or puffy lids? Fat pads in the upper and lower eyelids.

🔹 Procedure
Carefully removes extra skin and trims herniated fat deposits to reduce puffiness and restore a smoother contour.

🔹 Closure
Fine cosmetic sutures are used to close incisions—keeping scars minimal and well-hidden.

🔹 Lower eyelid options
For lower lids, a transconjunctival incision (inside the lid) removes fat with no external scar. Traditional skin incisions are also common, depending on your needs.

The result? A more open, alert, and refreshed appearance—without looking “done.”

Your skin isn’t just a wrapper!
5 facts that will blow your mind 🤯

Most people think skin is just for looks and keeping out the cold. Think again. Get ready to be surprised!

1. You have “internal skin.” The thinnest skin is on your eardrums (0.1 mm). The thickest is on your soles. But here’s what few know: Under a microscope, the inside of your mouth is also skin. It just lacks the protective h***y layer, which is why it’s so red and sensitive👂🏻

2. You eat 1 kg of your own skin every year. No, it’s not a weird diet. You lose up to 500 million skin particles daily (the main ingredient in household dust). While you sleep, these flakes settle on your pillow… and well, you get the idea. Welcome to reality 🍽️

3. Your skin sees UV light before your eyes do. Your skin contains a protein called opsin, similar to one in your retina. The moment sunlight touches your skin, it triggers melanin production without waiting for a signal from your brain. Your skin is an autonomous lifesaver 🌞

4. Your belly button is a dirty sea. Scientists have found up to 1,400 species of bacteria living in a single navel. Some are extremophiles previously only found in Yellowstone’s hot springs… and in rocket fuel. How did they get there? Science has no idea 🚀

5. You have a third ear. Skin conducts vibrations. If you press a phone playing music (not through the speaker, but the body of the phone) against your cheek, you’ll hear the melody through your skull bones and skin. In a quiet room, it feels like magic. Try it right now 🎧

Bonus: Only a fetus in the womb (up to 6 months) can heal skin without scars. After birth, any deep wound will leave a mark. Nature took away this superpower the moment you were born.

❓ Which fact will you use to surprise everyone at dinner? Drop it in the comments! 👇

🦷 Ever wondered how dental implants are placed?

Dental implants are a cutting-edge solution for replacing missing teeth and the process is more precise than you might think. All done under local anesthesia, here’s how it works:

1️⃣ Surgical Planning
Using 3D imaging (CBCT), your dentist maps out every detail—from bone structure to key anatomical landmarks.

2️⃣ Access
A small incision is made along the gum, and a full-thickness flap is gently lifted to expose the bone.

3️⃣ Implant Site Preparation
Drilling is done with a physio dispenser, starting with small diameters and gradually increasing. Speed is kept low (100–200 RPM) to protect the bone.

4️⃣ Implant Insertion
The implant is placed at low speed using a torque wrench, then advanced into the jawbone.

5️⃣ Healing & Final Restoration
A healing abutment is placed, the wound is sutured, and then comes the waiting period—about 3 months for osseointegration (when the implant fuses with the bone). After that, a permanent abutment and custom crown are made and secured.

🚨 A life-threatening chain reaction you should know about 🚨

When the right coronary artery becomes blocked—often due to a clot—it can cut off blood supply to the posteromedial papillary muscle. That loss of blood flow leads to a heart attack (myocardial infarction) in that area.

As the muscle weakens structurally, it can rupture. Without that support, the mitral leaflet becomes flail, causing acute mitral regurgitation. This isn’t just a valve problem—it can trigger rapid, life-threatening hemodynamic collapse.

💡 Key takeaway: What starts as a coronary blockage can quickly escalate into a critical heart emergency. Recognizing symptoms early (chest pain, shortness of breath, sudden drop in blood pressure) saves lives.

Muscles That Don’t Sleep 💤

Think sleep is just “shut-down mode” for your body? Think again.

While you’re dreaming, your muscles aren’t all resting — some are quietly hard at work.

1. Your Postural Muscles👤
Even in sleep, your spine doesn’t completely collapse. Muscles like the erector spinae, deep neck flexors, and paraspinals stay subtly active to maintain your spinal alignment especially if you’re a side sleeper.

2. Your Core💪🏻
Yep, your abs don’t fully clock out. The transverse abdominis and pelvic floor remain engaged to stabilize your torso during micro-movements throughout the night.

3. Your Airway Muscles 🌬️
Breathing doesn’t stop, so your diaphragm, intercostals (between the ribs), and throat muscles work continuously to keep your airway open. If they relax too much? That’s when snoring or sleep apnea can happen.

4. Your Eye Muscles 👀
During REM sleep, your extraocular muscles are surprisingly active — your eyes dart back and forth behind closed lids. That’s called REMs, and it’s a sign your brain is busy processing memories.

5. Your Heart🫀
The myocardium (heart muscle) never sleeps. It works 24/7, though it does slow down during deep sleep to give your cardiovascular system a well-deserved rest.

Sleep isn’t passive — it’s an active repair and recovery process. Your muscles rest in waves, but many stay engaged to protect your airway, posture, and vital functions.

So yes, even in your dreams, your body is putting in work🏋️‍♀️

Hidden Danger of Accessory Renal Arteries

Did you know that having an extra blood vessel in your kidney could lead to serious problems over time? It’s true.

An accessory renal artery is a common anatomical variant that can sometimes cross directly over the ureter (the tube that drains urine from the kidney to the bladder). Instead of simply supplying blood, this misplaced vessel can act like a tight band, compressing the ureter.

Here’s what happens next:

1️⃣ Compression & Stricture – The pressure from the artery creates a narrowing (stricture) in the ureter.
2️⃣ Urine Backup – Urine cannot flow normally, so it begins to accumulate in the renal pelvis (the kidney’s collecting area).
3️⃣ Hydronephrosis – The trapped urine causes the renal pelvis and surrounding kidney tissue to stretch and dilate. This is known as hydronephrosis.

🚨 Long-term Consequence:

If left untreated, this ongoing blockage and pressure will not just cause discomfort or infection it can eventually lead to renal atrophy (shrinkage and permanent scarring of the kidney tissue), resulting in loss of kidney function.
