The impact from hurricane Helene will, sadly, continue to permeate our Tampa Bay community for months and years to come. While so many of our families experienced the direct impact of this terrible storm, children who were not directly impacted may have trauma-like symptoms as well. Last week, Child and Family Therapy Center had the honor of joining forces with Sunshine City Counseling and Roc Solid Foundation to build playhouses for children diagnosed with cancer. The Roc Solid Foundation promotes around the country that children heal through play, and we could not have been more thrilled to join this initiative. Thank you to the wonderful team of therapists at Sunshine City for recognizing Child and Family Therapy Center’s goal of promoting healing for children in a family-centered way. We are looking forward to more opportunities to help children and families throughout our Sunshine City!
