Dr Javate participated in an intense two week surgical mission organized by the International Surgical Missions (ISM) and St Scholastica Hopsital in Pambujan, Samar (Visayas) in the Philippines (Feb 23-March 8, 2025). A massive total of 504 surgical procedures were performed for the underserved community by ISM including resection of large ovarian tumors and fibroid uteri to breast and thyroid cancers, gallbladders, endoscopy and colonoscopies, hernia repair, cleft lips, amputations, removal of any and all lumps and bumps and circumcisions. We at Gulfcoast Institute of OB/GYN are proud to announce our newest provider, Dr. Maurice
Hord!

He received his business degree at the University of North Carolina, attended the East Carolina University School
of Medicine, and completed his OB/GYN residency at Bayfront Medical Center in Saint Petersburg where he served as chief resident. Dr Hord has an keen interest in high-risk
obstretrics, in-office procedures such as hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, colpscopy
as well minimally invasive surgery.

Dr Hord is married with three beautiful children. He is a foodie, loves to golf and just “hang at home”!

He has quickly become a favorite with the patients and we are blessed to have him with us!

A GCIOBG evening at Top Golf! So fun! Great food, weather and company! Good thing we have jobs because the PGA & LPGA tours do not seem to be in our futures, ha! We greatly appreciate all our managers, front and back office staff, and our medical assistants! You all are the heart of our practice and the reason we are successful! God bless you all!
