Lunch Outing to Po Folks!

Today our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to Po Folks Restaurant! They had a great time getting out, enjoying delicious comfort food, and sharing laughs with friends.

From crispy fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, fried catfish, and sweet blueberry cobbler, there was something for everyone to enjoy!

By the time we left, bellies were full and smiles were even bigger. It’s safe to say this outing was a success — and our residents are already asking when we can go back again!

Exercise Therapy with H2H!

K from H2H came out and had a wonderful exercise therapy session with Rebecca today! They enjoyed the beautiful weather outside while working on exercises focused on movement, balance, and staying active.

K also made sure Rebecca stayed hydrated throughout the session, helping keep wellness and safety a priority.

We truly appreciate H2H for partnering with us and helping our residents stay balanced, stable, active, and able to move and groove! Thank you, H2H, for all that you do!

Garden Madness!

Today our residents had a wonderful time out in the garden! We collected seeds from a broccoli plant that had sprouted and used them to start growing new plants — turning one plant into many more.

Some residents enjoyed planting seeds while others loved giving the plants a nice drink of water, helping them grow big and strong so they can produce delicious fruits and vegetables in the future.

Gardening time is always special because it brings everyone together outdoors to enjoy fresh air, sunshine, and each other’s company.

Balloon Volleyball Fun!

Balloon volleyball was the excitement of the day! Residents had so much fun hitting the balloon back and forth with friends, sharing laughs when it floated over their heads or bounced right back at them.

This game is more than just fun — it’s a great workout too! It gets muscles moving, arms stretching, hearts pumping, and uses all kinds of movement from hands to feet and even a few headers with the balloon!

Most importantly, it brings smiles, laughter, and friendly competition while everyone stays active together.

Memorial Day carries deep meaning. Many of our residents lived through defining moments in our country’s history, served in uniform, or loved someone who did.

Taking time to pause, reflect, and share their stories honors not only those who gave their lives, but also the lived experiences and perspectives within our own halls.

We gather in gratitude for their courage and dedication, and in recognition that remembrance strengthens connection across generations. Their legacy and the freedoms they fought to preserve - will never be forgotten.

We took a trip back in time for our Sock Hop Resident Prom! 💃🕺

We danced the evening away, shared lots of smiles and memories, and enjoyed sweet treats including classic root beer floats and a fun twist on a favorite — root beer float cake!

From the music to the laughter, it was a wonderful celebration filled with joy, friendship, and making new memories together. ❤️

Beach BBQ Fun!
Today was a perfect day for our beach barbecue! The weather was beautiful, the breeze was blowing, and there was so much fun and excitement all around. Dogs were out playing, kids were laughing and running around the playground and beach, and our residents truly enjoyed watching all the live action.
We had hamburgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill, along with fresh fruit, chips, sodas, water, and so much more!
The smell of the barbecue smoke filling the air brought back wonderful memories for many of our residents, making the day even more special.
Nothing beats good food, fresh air, and great company!

Time to see who’s going to be today’s big winner! Will it be four corners, small picture frame, or even a full cover-all? The competition is on, and our residents are ready to play!
Bingo is always one of the residents’ favorite games — full of excitement, laughter, and friendly competition. Winners can even take home a sweet chocolate bar or some Wentworth Bucks!
